2020 Azalea Garden Tour Grants

Normally, the Cape Fear Garden Club’s Azalea Garden Tour held since 1953, awards grants to non-profit organizations in New Hanover County for beautification, conservation, and educational projects. Sadly, due to the Covid-19 virus, the 2020 Azalea Garden Tour was canceled causing a disruption in funding for local non-profit projects for this club year. Fortunately, standing grants like the one for the protection of Battery Island by the NC Audubon Society and endowed scholarships to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College will be honored. Donated money to the 2020 Azalea Garden Tour will be used to fund the standing grants. This donated money is the result of the generosity of folks in the community and members of the Cape Fear Garden Club who have converted their pre-event ticket purchases to be used as donations. So, thank you Wilmington for your past, present, and future support of Cape Fear Garden Club’s Azalea Garden Tour.
