The Cape Fear Garden Club Civic Improvements Committee awarded the 2013 Fall and Winter Beauty Spot Awards on December 6 and December 11, 2013. Fairfield Park on George Anderson and Fairview Drive received the Neighborhood Entrance Award. The residential award winner was Paula and Stan Bullock, 1901 Princess Street and the Business winner was the Corning Plant located on North College Road across from Costco.
